Landscaping & pavers in St. Petersburg, FL

St. Pete yards are older, smaller and closer to the water than most of Tampa Bay.

If you have a bungalow in Old Northeast or a ranch in Crescent Lake, you're working with a small lot, old infrastructure and water that has nowhere to go during a summer downpour. Every square foot of yard counts, and so does where the water ends up.

We design St. Pete projects to make the most of tight space without making drainage worse.

Neighborhoods we work in

The homes here

Early 1900s bungalows, 1920s Mediterranean Revival homes, and postwar block ranches on narrow lots with alleys. Waterfront areas like Snell Isle and Shore Acres sit very low. Many homes have old brick streets and original concrete strips for driveways.

Soil, storms and base prep in St. Petersburg

Low elevation and a high water table, especially in Shore Acres and near Tampa Bay. Small lots mean runoff from your roof and your neighbor's has little room to spread. A permeable-feeling paver field with good pitch helps compared with solid concrete, but it has to be paired with downspout and yard drainage that actually leads somewhere.

Permits & HOAs

St. Petersburg is its own city in Pinellas County with its own permitting. Historic districts like Old Northeast and Kenwood can involve extra review for visible exterior changes. Low-lying areas may have flood-zone considerations. We'll clarify at the estimate.

My yard is tiny. Is a paver patio even worth it?

Often more so on a small lot. A well-planned patio can make a narrow yard usable, and pavers suit historic homes better than a plain slab. We'll design to the space you actually have.
